Hayate no Gotoku! (ハヤテのごとく!), also known as Hayate the Combat Butler, was first aired in Japan on April 1, 2007. The first season, produced by SynergySP, ran until March 30, 2008. The second season (named Hayate no Gotoku!!, with an extra exclamation mark), produced by J.C.Staff, aired in Japan from April 3 to September 18, 2009. The following season, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, was an adaptation of events that never got drawn on the manga. It was produced by Manglobe and aired from October 4 to December 20, 2012. The fourth season, Cuties, was also produced by Manglobe. It aired from April 8 to July 1, 2013. Unfortunately, Manglobe declared bankruptcy by 2015. The film, entitled Heaven Is a Place on Earth, hit theaters on August 27, 2011. This page was created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hayate no Gotoku (2017) since the anime series was first aired. Meanwhile, the anime series was first aired in the Philippines on September 28, 2009. It will be put back in the air multiple times due to relatively high television ratings (around 8% in 2012, around 10% in 2014) compared to competition during its timeslot, with the latest broadcast being done in 2016 (garnering around 10% to 12%). While having an action, harem, parody, and romantic comedy genres, the plot centers around Hayate Ayasaki, whose parents accumulated a debt of 156 million yen (around 69 million pesos) and passed on the job of repaying it all to him. A young lady, Nagi Sanzenin, pays off all the debt in exchange of more than 40 years of service as a butler. As the story progresses, Hayate does not only have to deal with paying his debt and protecting his new master, but also with a number of women who developed and expressed romantic interest to him.
