   Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒ) was first aired in Japan as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya on April 2, 2006. It was aired again with additional episodes on April 3, 2009. This page was created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Haruhi Suzumiya since the anime series was first aired in 2016. The original series ended on July 2, 2006, and was thereafter aired in the Philippines starting July 13, 2009. However, it did not receive high ratings (around 3% to 4%), mainly because of tough primetime competition. The rebroadcast (2009) version is still yet to be aired in the Philippines. The film entitled The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya hit Japan theaters on February 6, 2010. Besides having a comedy and science fantasy/science fiction genre, Haruhi Suzumiya features a human being, Haruhi, having the capability to create something out of nothing (possessing godlike powers usually unlocked when she gets bored or "melancholic"), and the paramount task of her brigade comrades was to keep her from knowing this. As part of this commemorative page, this history blog will feature lyrics of the song God knows from the anime.
